“Several years ago one of my best friends sent my cat, Harry, a snuggle blanket that she had made. He loved it and it is his favorite place to sleep at night, at the foot of my bed. I thought snuggle blankets for shelter animals was a great idea. So in 2017, I started knitting them. Not too many months later I read a news story about Lucky’s Place and the fine work they did. I wrote and asked if they would accept donations of snuggle blankets. Yes, they would!!! So each month since then I have sent a box of snuggle blankets, and a monetary donation, to the shelter.
In 2018 while I was on vacation in the Tetons, I drove to Thayne to visit the shelter, meet Mary Ann, and visit with all the cats and kitties. It was a delightful visit. Knitting the blankets is a great pastime; planning the colors and especially making brown and gold University of Wyoming snuggle blankets. Go Cowboys!!!”
