Open a place in your heart and you will receive much more in return. Lucky’s Place is NOT a county or city owned or operated shelter. It does not receive funds from local governments. It is wholly run and maintained by volunteers. Being a 501(3)(c), Lucky’s Place relies on their volunteers to help get the job done.
If you would like to be part of the AHASV Team and have time to volunteer, we always need help cleaning, feeding, grooming, walking the dogs, socializing the animals, etc. Volunteers need to be 16 years of age unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. Please fill out the volunteer application and volunteer hold harmless agreement. Then bring it by the shelter or mail it to P O Box 654, Thayne, WY 83127.
SPECIAL NEEDS PETS
From time to time we have special needs pets that need either a permanent home or a temporary foster home. Some of these pets may be blind, recuperating from a surgery, need to be bottle fed, like tiny kittens or puppies, or have other needs or handicaps. These are usually sweet, loving and grateful pets that just need a chance.
Contact us, call (307) 883-PETS, or stop by the shelter on Saturdays and talk with one of our Directors if you would like to help. Some animals do not do well in captivity and just need to be in a home setting.
DIFFERENT TYPES OF DONATIONS
• Buy an IRA (Immediate Relief for the Animals) for $2,000 to $5,000 or more*
• Buy a stainless steel dog cage $1,000*
• Buy a stainless steel cat cage $500*
*These larger donations will receive plaques commemorating a pet/person or event
• Donate cages or animal crates
• Donate an amount large or small for a birthday or other special occasion
• Buy a ceramic tile for our memory wall, engraved for the memory of a beloved pet or loved one. Tiles are $100 each and are personalized for you. See our memory wall of ceramic tiles at the shelter!
